Peace of Concentration

On this day course we will focus particularly on learning to concentrate within our meditation. This is how to deepen our experiences of meditation and how our understanding and awareness of our object of meditation can develop and can transform our mind. Then our concentration in our ordinary activities will also improve. This is a very special opportunity to experience the deep inner peace that comes from a concentrated mind. You can attend this as either just a day of silent retreat or as a weekend event. Life can be hectic and overwhelming; it’s easy to be “on” all the time without ever taking the time to be quiet and enjoy a simple day of rest and recharging.

Even though breathing meditation is only a preliminary state of meditation, it can be quite powerful. We can see from this practice that it is possible to experience inner peace and contentment just by controlling the mind, without having to depend at all upon external conditions.

The course comprises two sessions and includes guided meditations, the first session starts at 10:00 am and finishes at 11:15 am, followed by a 45-minute break, we will then have a second session from 12:00 pm to 1:15 pm. At the end of the class, you will have a chance to ask questions to the teacher. The course will also be available to watch online live and on replay for 5 days after the event.
